Properly installed seat covers ensure the best look and longevity of your seat covers.
Please note that every car is just a little different. These instructions are a great guide in allowing you to get the most from your new seat covers!
Universal Fit Seat Covers
- Remove your headrests. (You may need to get a small nail or pin to release your headrest)
- Place the top part of the seat cover over the seat and pull it down
- Place the bottom section securely over the seats bottom.
- Your seat cover came with supplied “S” hooks. Use those to tie the elastics together under your seat.
- Attach the elastics in the proper position to give the seat cover the right shape.
- Once you have completely attached your seat cover get a sharp instrument (i.e. a razor blade, scissors, knife, etc…) and cut small holes for the headrest and/or latches. Note: When cutting the seat cover make the smallest cuts possible and slide the material around the object.
- Put the headrest back into the seat, and you have successfully installed your new seat cover.
Custom Fit Seat Covers
- Take off headrests and remove any other hardware that may get in the way of seat cover installation
- We have found that installing the bottom section first is best way to start.
- Tie your strings or straps (included with your seat covers) to your seat cover. Insert the ties through the seat (where the bottom and backrest meet) and take them underneath the seat. You can either tie them to the springs underneath your seat or to the loops on the front of the seat cover.
- Now put the top of the seat cover over the seat, and pull it down.
- Tie your strings or straps to loops on the seat cover. Insert the ties through the seat just like before. Attach the strings to the corresponding loops on the sides and back of the seat cover. Tighten the seat cover to give it the best fit but do not over tighten the ties.
- Make small incisions in the seat cover to allow headrests and other hardware to be re-installed properly.
- Re-install your headrests and hardware.

We prefer to take the ties and attach them to the opposing loop on the front of the seat cover. Take the string or strap through the loop twice and pull it tight. This will allow you to keep the seat cover tight until you are ready to make a knot in it. After the seat cover is securely in place tie all of the strings off and cut off the excess.
Simple Cleaning Instructions for your new seat covers
- If you spill liquids on the seat cover allow the area to dry and then clean with a common household detergent.
- If you get grease or oil on the seat cover, first spot clean with any fluid containing the chemical Naptha. Use shampoo such as a Carbonaupholstery and rug shampoo or Woolite upholstery shampoo to remove any remaining stain.
- Test the cleaner material somewhere that is inconspicuous before cleaning the entire seat cover. To avoid creating more work for yourself, you can leave the seat cover on the seat. Make sure that you read the instructions on the cleaner carefully to make sure that it is compatible with the fabric you are using it on.
